Senior Design Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of 3–4 design engineers, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
- Possess all core skills required for a Design Engineer role, along with leadership capabilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including project engineers, electrical engineers, and production teams to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability.
- Conduct tolerance analysis and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) reviews.
- Evaluate and integrate feedback from shop floor, suppliers, and installation teams to improve design quality.
- Support prototype development, installation, commissioning, and testing of designed systems.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, design reports, and revision controls.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and company design guidelines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to mechanical design during project execution.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor, or equivalent).
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead and manage a small design team effectively.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations.
