Junior Design Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop mechanical systems and components for material handling equipment, including vibratory conveyors, belt conveyors, bulk material handling systems, and automated solutions.
- Create detailed 3D CAD models, assembly drawings, fabrication drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Perform basic engineering calculations and select suitable materials and components to ensure structural integrity and performance.
- Apply GD&T principles effectively in design and drafting.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to address design feasibility, sheet metal defects, and process improvements.
- Support prototype development, fabrication, and testing activities.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Hands-on experience with SolidWorks (3D & 2D) and AutoCAD (mandatory).
- Knowledge of Autodesk Inventor (added advantage).
- Strong understanding of sheet metal design, manufacturing processes, and common defects.
- Basic knowledge of metal fabrication and welding processes.
- Good knowledge and application of GD&T.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Candidates with a food industry background will be an added advantage.
